Scope note (read first). These Terms govern only the PeriodBro iOS app distributed on the Apple App Store. They do not cover the PeriodBro website (periodbro.com) or the web app at app.periodbro.com, which are governed by the separate website Terms of Service. This is the agreement Apple refers to as the “Licensed Application End User License Agreement.”
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using the PeriodBro iOS app (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is licensed, not sold, to you by Devlet Butaev (Devlet Butaev PR, Serbia) (“we,” “us”).
2. What PeriodBro is — and what it is not
PeriodBro is an educational and organizational tool for a partner, parent, or caregiver who wants to understand and support someone through the menstrual cycle.
Important medical disclaimer:
– The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a medical device.
– Cycle phases and predictions are estimates and are shown with low or medium confidence. They can be wrong.
– The fertile-window information is not a method of contraception and must not be relied on to prevent or achieve pregnancy.
– “Red flag” prompts only suggest that it may be worth speaking to a doctor; they are not a diagnosis.
– Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something in the App.
3. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms and the Usage Rules in Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or sublicense the App except as allowed by law.
4. No account; your data
The App has no account or login. Your data is stored on your device and, optionally, in your own private iCloud. How that data is handled is described in our iOS Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device, your passcode, and your iCloud security, and for keeping your own backups.
5. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing
The App offers an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks premium features.
- Plans and price: Monthly (USD $4.99) or Yearly (USD $29.99). Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App before purchase.
- Free trial: new subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial. If you start a trial and do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal. We never receive or store your payment details.
- Managing or cancelling: you manage, pause, or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Unused trial: any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple; refund requests are subject to Apple’s policies.
6. Acceptable use and your responsibility to others
You agree to use the App lawfully. PeriodBro is a tool for conscious, consensual support — not surveillance. The people you track are usually not the people using the App. You are responsible for telling them you are tracking their cycle and obtaining their agreement where appropriate, and for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction, especially when tracking a minor in your care.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its design, text, and content are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that predictions are accurate or that the App is error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the App — including any health, fertility, or relationship decision. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these Terms. You may end it by deleting the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
12. Apple-specific terms
Because the App is distributed through the Apple App Store, the following apply:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Maintenance and support for the App are our responsibility, not Apple’s. Apple has no obligation to provide any support.
- To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the App. Any warranty claim and the cost of a refund (up to the purchase price) is our responsibility, not Apple’s.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any product or legal claims relating to the App (including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, and consumer-protection claims).
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party intellectual-property claim that the App infringes.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or on a U.S. prohibited-parties list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms as the App or the law changes. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
